Learning to drive: category AM
You can register for Altera’s AM course from age 14. You need a valid medical certificate, at least six months of residence in Estonia and parental consent if you are under 18.
NB! In Estonia, people born before 1 January 1993 may drive category AM vehicles without a driving licence.
Start with registration and your first payment, then choose classroom or online theory and arrange practical lessons with your instructor. The course includes online practice tests, the school theory exam and first aid, which the school arranges.
Two-wheeled moped training begins on the training ground and continues on the road; you learn on a Honda Vision, with protective gear provided by the school.
A four-wheeled moped car is an enclosed vehicle with a passenger seat and seat belts; you learn to account for its dimensions and handling.
After completing training and the required exams, you can take the state practical test. For the two-wheeled moped test, you can hire the school moped with protective gear and arrange an interpreter if needed. Hire and interpreting are charged separately.
Meet the instructor at Ehitajate tee 150, the zoo car park.
