Learning to drive: category A1
You can start A1 training at 15½ and obtain the licence from age 16. A learner under 18 needs written parental consent. To register, you need a valid medical certificate and at least six months of residence in Estonia. After registration and your first payment, start theory online and arrange practical lessons with your instructor.
You can study for A1 or A2 with or without an existing licence — we will select the appropriate programme at registration. If you do not yet hold a licence, the course also includes first aid, arranged by the school. The school theory exam and use of protective riding gear are included in the course. Lessons use a category A1 training motorcycle.
Start by learning to handle the motorcycle on the training ground, then ride with your instructor in the city and outside it. Once you have completed training and passed the required theory exams, you can take the state riding test.
You can hire the school motorcycle with riding gear for the state test and use an interpreter if needed. Hire and interpreting are charged separately.
Meet the instructor at Ehitajate tee 150, the zoo car park.
